Exterior Transformation in Criccieth
This Criccieth project involved much more than resurfacing an existing entrance. The front garden and access area required substantial excavation and reshaping before the new stonework and steps could be constructed.
Natural stone retaining walls were built on either side of the new central entrance, creating strong new levels and giving the frontage a traditional finish appropriate for the property and local area.
Stone steps, paved areas, new railings and surfacing were then brought together to create a practical and attractive completed entrance.
Excavation & Ground Preparation
The first stage involved removing and reshaping the existing garden and stonework to create space for the new entrance and retaining walls. The photographs show the amount of preparation behind the finished work.

Building the Natural Stone Retaining Walls
Once the site had been prepared, the new retaining walls and central stepped entrance began to take shape. Individual natural stones were selected and positioned to create substantial walls while maintaining the traditional character of the finished project.

Work Carried Out by EBP
1. Excavation
Existing ground and landscaping were excavated and reshaped to form the new layout.
2. Stone Walling
New natural stone retaining walls were constructed around the revised levels and entrance.
3. Steps & Paving
Stone steps and paved areas were incorporated to create practical access to the property.
4. Final Surfacing
Surfacing and new railings completed the exterior transformation.
The Finished Criccieth Project
The completed frontage now combines substantial natural stonework with a clearly defined central entrance, paved upper areas, new railings and clean finished surfacing.
The project provides a good example of how groundworks, stone walling and surfacing can be combined as one complete property improvement rather than treated as separate jobs.
